Julia's favourite sport:

My favourite sport is handball. I like it because it's funny and it's a team sport. We have a big handball place on our sports ground next to our school. In summer when it's warm we play handball. And in the last schoolweek the girls of our class play against other classes. Sometimes it's exciting. At home I don't play handball because I don't have a handball or a handballplace. And I can't play it alone because I need a team (it's a team sport)!!

Patricia's favourite sport:

My favourite sport is handball. I like it because it is a team sport and I like team sports. In summer we play handball on the handball place on the sportground next to the school. In the last schoolweek the girls from our class play again the other classes. I think handball is very funny. Often it is very exciting. At home I don't play it very often because for handball I need a team and at home I haven't a team. And at home we haven't a handball court.

WHAT WE HAVE LEARNT ABOUT EASTER TRADITIONS IN SPAIN:

PALM SUNDAY
On Palm Sunday, people go to mass in the morning.
Children carry palm leaves to be blessed by the priest.

ASH WEDNESDAY
Ash Wednesday is the first day of the Lent.

LENT
Lent is a period of fasting before Easter. The 40-day-period begins on Ash Wednesday and ends a day before Easter.

FOOD
In Spain they eat cod, pieces of French toasts and during Easter week they aren’t allowed to eat meat.

PROCESSIONS
During this week there are many processions.
The processions include a lot of musicians and penitents with a lot of high hats.

Vienna Week

From 10th June until 14th June our class and our teachers Mrs Brandl and Mrs Huber went to Vienna.

We stayed in the hotel called “Westend City Hostel” and the bedrooms and the bathroom were very small.

We had a lot of fun and we saw a lot of sights.
We were in museums and castles.
The best sight we saw was the “Donauturm”.
We had a wonderful view from it.

Each day we went by the Underground a lot. And we also went by the tram.

The Vienna week was so cool.
We would do it again.

We like Vienna because it is very famous and the people are very friendly.
We don’t like that there is so much traffic.
