We are Daniel and Matthias. We are your Austrian pen friends.

These are our gloogster:

Here are our favourite sports:

One of my favourite sport is minigolf. In the holidays I often played
it and my best result was around 60 hits within 18 holes.
I really like that sport, because you must be careful.

My favourite sport is judo. My mom does this sport, too. I go to a judo club in Kronsdorf.
There we are in a gym and so we can do our training in summer and winter. My
trainer is the world champion in his weight class for two years now.

What we have learn about your Easter tradition:

People wear white suits and play music with instruments. The Lent begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Saturday. The Lent is 40 days long. The Godfather gives the godchildren the La Mona cake. On Monday there is the dance of the death. That is a dance where men dress up as skeletons. The Holy week has four important days: Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday. The processions are lead by religious brotherhoods and sometimes up to two thousand members of a brotherhood take part.

Vienna week - by Matthew and Daniel

From the 10th to the 14th of June we were in Vienna, the capital of Austria. The whole class was there. We saw lot of buildings for example the parliament, museums other famous places. The best thing of the Vienna week was the musical. We made a lot of projects for example a quiz in the Central cemetery or in the 1st district. We didn't like that very much but it was okay. We often went by the underground train, that's very cool. The hotel was really large, we were sleeping in a bedroom with eight beds! We were also in the oldest zoo of the world, the zoo of the Palace of Schönbrunn. There it was great, because there were so many animals. The whole week was the best week in the year and we will go to Vienna again.
